SNVRKOTICS launches NVR.to, smart links for releases with custom domains and audience routing

SNVRKOTICS today launched NVR.to, the smart-link product built into its catalog platform. A link on NVR.to takes a listener to the right store for their country and device, tracks the click without identifying the person, and can live on the artist's own domain.

Link kinds

A link is one of eight kinds — release, pre-release, bio, podcast, tickets, reward, playlist and content — and each kind knows what it needs before it can be published. A release link needs at least one destination or a fallback; the editor refuses to publish one that has neither, rather than shipping a page that goes nowhere.

Services

NVR.to recognises forty services by their hostnames and orders, labels and colors them correctly on the landing page: the streaming stores, the download stores, the video platforms and the social networks a release is announced on. A pasted URL is matched on its host, never on a substring, so a lookalike address cannot borrow a real store's name and color on a page an artist's audience trusts.

Routing

A destination can be limited to a territory, and a link can carry conditions on country, platform and referrer that send a visitor to a different destination — or to a different link altogether. Routing is evaluated on the server at the moment of the click.

Analytics without surveillance

A click is recorded as a service, a country, a device class and a referrer host. No cookie is set, no IP address is stored, and the visitor hash rotates daily by design, which is what keeps it from becoming an identifier. NVR.to can say how many clicks a link had from Germany on Android; it cannot say who they were, and it is built so that it never can.

Custom domains
