SNVRKOTICS today launched dripgraph at dripgraph.com, a shoppable, linked-data archive of style. Where a fashion blog is a list of outfits, dripgraph is a graph: each piece is a node that links the person who wore it, the brand that made it and the kind of garment it is, so the archive can be read as connections rather than as posts.
The graph
Every published look breaks into its pieces, and every piece names a brand and a garment type. From those edges dripgraph builds the views a flat list cannot: brand share across the whole archive, the garment types that recur, and the shared styles — the brands more than one person is actually seen wearing. Nothing in those views is modeled or invented; each figure is counted from real published pieces.
Shop every piece
A piece links out to where it is carried, through our own redirect rather than a copied outbound link, so a reader can shop it and the archive can measure the click without tracking the reader. The brands directory reads as a real directory of the labels the archive tracks; a brand shows a fit only once a featured person is genuinely seen in it.
SEEN
Featured people can claim their profile and join SEEN, the get-featured program inside dripgraph. A claimed profile is the person's own, and the pieces on it are theirs to correct.
